Mission

The school prioritizes both traditional and modern art forms. It fosters a deep appreciation for nature, the art of living in harmony with it, and the creation of natural pigments. Sathish is committed to nurturing artistic development in the next generation.

Founder

SATHISH KUMAR. N.M.A (MEDIA ARTS) LOYOLA COLLEGE, M.PHIL

Sathish holds a degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Madras. After completing his schooling in a government institution, he recognized the disparity in access to art education, particularly in rural areas. This realization fueled his vision to establish Thanvi School of Art, which he achieved with unwavering determination and the support of his wife and friends.

A Vision for Artistic Inclusivity

Sathish's extensive experience as an art teacher and assistant professor for over eight years has shaped his vision for Thanvi School of Art. He aspires to bridge the gap he observed in traditional college and international school curriculums.

Director & Principal

BAVANI MURUGESAN

Bhavani Murugesan completed her undergraduate (U.G.) and postgraduate (P.G.) degrees in Tamil Literature at Mayilam Tamil College.

For the past six years, she has served as an administrative officer at a private school. Driven by a Passion for Education Bhavani's ambition aligns perfectly with Thanvi School of Art's mission. She is particularly passionate about improving the artistic learning abilities of underprivileged students.

Her dedication to education and experience in administration make her a valuable asset to our team.

"Beyond the Blackboard" Initiative

Beyond the Blackboard

Thanvi School of Art goes beyond the walls of a traditional classroom through its "Beyond the Blackboard" program. This initiative aims to bridge the geographical divide by providing remote learning opportunities for students in rural areas via distance education. This online accessibility ensures that everyone, regardless of location, has the chance to embark on their artistic journey with Thanvi.
